Learning programs

  • The Centre for Adolescent Health hosts local and international visitors with an interest in building capacity for understanding and responding to the unique health needs of adolescents.

Our tailored Learning Programs provide an opportunity for individuals and groups to engage with world leaders in adolescent health research and practice including:

    • access to a rich network of adolescent health organisations and professionals in Melbourne
    • direct engagement with our Centre leaders and team of world leading experts in adolescent health
    • first-hand experience of our unique operational approach across the Melbourne Children’s Campus which spans the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) and the University of Melbourne’s Department of Paediatrics
    • mutual capacity building with Centre staff and graduate researchers through shared learning and experiences

Learning Programs are typically 1-6 weeks in length but can be designed for up to one year, depending on the specific learning goals. A Certificate of Achievement is provided at the completion of each program.

Learning Programs incur a fee that varies according to the complexity and length of the program. Our team can provide recommendations for where to stay and eat while in Melbourne, however visitors are responsible for managing their own visa, travel arrangements and expenses including flights, accommodation and meals.

For more information about tailoring a Learning Program for yourself or staff within your organisation, please email Laura Griffith at laura.griffith@rch.org.au.
